NYR 2015
January 01, 2015
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2015! Yeah, I know. I can't believe it either! It feels like only yesterday I was posting my 2014 New Year's Resolutions! 2014 was a pretty cool year, and I'm hoping 2015 will be just as awesome! Here's a few resolutions/goals/things I hope to accomplish this year (some might be the same as previous years, but isn't that just the way it goes?).
1. Improve my health and fitness. As of this writing, I haven't heard from my rheumatologist about my lab results, so I don't know what's going to happen there, but I would like to try to improve my health and fitness regardless of what he eventually diagnoses me with and prescribes for it. The best way for me to start is to take my vitamins and nutritional supplements on a regular basis, drink more water, work out as much and as hard as possible, and heal my gut.
2. Stamp or Sell. I've resolved to do more stamping every year for some time now (and have failed miserably), but this year, I'm giving myself an ultimatum: either use them or sell them. I have a large, beautifully handcrafted stamp cabinet full of rubber stamps, plastic bins filled with pencils, pens, punches, paper, and a ginormous craft armoir which is basically everything one needs to make rubber stamp art, cards, or other art projects, including black and white photo colouring and modelling clay. As much as I think I'd like to do stuff (and I used to do crafty stuff all the time and really loved it!), the fact is, I rarely do any stamping, crafting, or art anymore. So. I'm giving myself 6 months to start stamping in a real, honest, and regular basis, or give up at least 80% of my inventory.
3. Use or dump. The same goes for my beauty products and appliances as well. I have purchased tons of make-ups, shadows, creams, serums, brushes, nail polish, hair products and appliances over the years, and sometimes I'll use them, and sometimes I'll put them in a drawer and forget about them. Well, it's time to take stuff out and use it (providing it hasn't already expired!) and if I don't use something within two weeks, I'm dumping it.
So, there you go! Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? Let me know in the comments! Cheers!
