Found this in an antique mall and it made me giggle a bit. Back in the day, when smoking was an acceptable activity, even Santa promoted tobacco products! I don't know if there was any "smoking mixture" left or if they were selling an emtpy box, but for five bucks, I'd hope there was something in there!
I've always loved this darling little ceramic kangaroo. It originally belonged to my dad, and now it's mine. I guess it was intended to store loose change or jewelery, and a man's wallet could fit in the little pouch the kangaroo is carrying. I don't know why he's wearing boxing gloves.
I particularly love his smile. He's always so happy and he makes me happy, too!
And, no, he's not for sale.

I'm not sure this gift would go over too well here on the Central Coast of California where we don't get snow, but I'm sure someone who lives nearthe mountains would enjoy it. I used to have a sled like this one and had a fantastic time racing down the hills when I lived in Cle Elum, WA. It was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time!
