A beautiful Saturday morning called for a walk around the Atascadero Lake. The lake was full to the brim after this past winter's rain, the plants were all green and the wildflowers were blooming. It made for a very pleasant walk.

After running a few errands this morning, mom and I returned home to find this little guy hanging on our front screen door:
I always thought Praying Mantis were green, but apparently this one is taking the Atascadero Mutual Water Co.'s "Brown is the New Green" slogan to heart!
