this little life of mine

I'm cathing up on my Teaser Tuesday, so this week I have three teasers for you: A Million Suns by Beth Revis, May B. by Caroline Starr Rose and Human.4 by Mike A. Landcaster. I'll start with A Million Suns page 47:

"We can do anything we want," Luthor says in a low voice only I can hear. He grins broadly and looks around him, then lifts his voice in a mighty roar, "We can do anything we want!"

My next teaser is from May B. page 38 (Im cheating by doing the whole passage instead of just two sentences, but it's brief ...)

"I'll be leaving early,"

Mr. Oblinger tells us at supper.

"I've got plenty to do in town.

Anything you need?"

"Bring letters!" Mrs. Oblinger pleads

.He touches her cheek.

"I'll see what's at the post office."

After supper Mr. Oblinger pulls me

   aside.

"You might have noticed

my wife's missing home.

Keep her company tomorrow while I"m

    away."

I'd rather much out a barn 

barefoot.

"Yes, sir."

And finally, here's my teaser from Human.4 page 37:

I - I haven't got the words to describe how disturbing the sight was. Every one of those faces was gripped by some fear, or despair, that had literally frozen them to the spot.
