Booking Through Thursday: Favourite Books of 2009
December 31, 2009
This week's Booking Through Thursday asks: What are your favourite books from the past year? Well, I read a total of 42 books this year, so I have a LOT of favourites, most of which were part of trilogies or series, which is why there were so many. I couldn't even pare the list down to just 10 (and believe me, I tried!)! Here's my list, pretty much in the order in which I read them from earlist to recently finished:
- Seeing Redd (The Looking Glass Wars) Frank Beddor
- ArchEnemy (The Looking Glass Wars) Frank Beddor
- Voices (Annals of the Western Shore) Ursula K. Le Guin
- Powers (Annals of the Western Shore) Ursula K. Le Guin
- Exodus Julie Bertagna
- Zenith Julie Bertagna
- The Darkangel (The Darkangel Trilogy) Meredith Ann Pierce
- A Gathering of Gargoyles (The Darkangel Trilogy) Meredith Ann Pierce
- The Pearl of the Soul of the World (The Darkangel Trilogy) Meredith Ann Pierce
- Life As We Knew It Susan Beth Pfeffer
- the dead and the gone Susan Beth Pfeffer
- Darling Jim: A Novel Christian Moerk
- The Forest of Hands and Teeth Carrie Ryan
- Thirsty: A Novel Tracey Bateman
- The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Trilogy) James Dashner
- The Other Side of the Island Allegra Goodman
- Gone Michael Grant
I'm not sure which I'd even pick as a #1 Favourite, because they were all awesome in their own way! Here's hoping 2010 brings just as many awesome books into my life (and yours, too)!
Cheers!
