Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser for this week comes from page 19 of Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer:
It was still our moon and it was still just a big dead rock in the sky, but it wasn't benign anymore. It was terrifying, and you could feel the panic swell all around us.
I'm not even 100 pages into this book, but I highly recommend it. It's similar to Exodus and Zenith by Julie Bertagna in that it's about suriving a natural disaster, but it's told by a 16-year-opld girl right now, not many years into the future. What's more terrifying is that while this exacty thing might not happen, something equally disasterous could happen, and I find myself really thinking about what I would do if it did.
