The New Fence

This Week's Earthbox Garden Pictures

Wow, it's really nice out today - sunshiny, slightly breezy, clear blue skies; it's a beautiful Sunday afternoon! I haven't had a chance to check out the garden at all this past week, so I headed out to see how things are going.

The Earthboxes are still displaced due to continued fence building, but many of the plants looked really good!

The tomatoes really took off:

... and there's even some blossoms on one of the plants:

One of the bell peppers seems to be doing better than the other, and has dozens of little buds on it as well:

Same with the cucumbers: one plant is going strong while the other is struggling:

Both zucchini plants are doing great! They just get bigger and bigger, although I haven't seen any blossoms on them yet:

And finally we have the crookneck squash and the Japanese eggplant:

The squash, like the zucchini, is doing great, but the little eggplant seems to have stalled. The one pretty purple blossom on it last weekend has dried up. I don't know if that means it's dead or if it's growing a little eggplant in there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but it really doesn't look good:

There is another blossom starting up nearby, so I still have some hope.
