I'm 24 ... If You're Dyslexic
January 04, 2008
Yeah, I know it's politically incorrect to make jokes about disabilities, but I made the joke anyway and it went over pretty well. I'm a terrible person.
Anyway, yeah, it's my birthday, and I'm 42 (those of you who've ever read Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series will recognize my current age as the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, which I personally think is pretty cool!), believe it or not. Some people don't - they are my bestest friends. Heh.
I had a terrific day, thanks to my friends and co-workers who went out of their way to treat me like a damn princess and I cannot even begin to express my gratitude. I received three birthday cards, three gift cards, some fragrant body butter and a scented candle, coffee, sushi lunch (complete with the loud, obnoxious and wonderful birthday celebration at the restaurant, which was very cool, and a ball of Moki ice cream and orange slices for my "birthday cake", which was very delicious!), dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and a movie (Sweeney Todd - very good!!). Fan-freakin'-tastic! Here is the photographic evidence:
Thank you to everyone who helped make my day so very special and made me feel so loved!
