A bunch of us girls went out to lunch for Lola's birthday today. We went to Firestone Grill - the place DeeDee and I nearly went to last Friday. It was okay, but really nothing to write home about. Well, my chicken Caesar salad was nothing special, anyway - the dressing was runny and flavourless and was just in a little puddle at the bottom of the bowl so I had to try to mix my salad up to dress it, and the chicken was dry, which sucked more than normal since there wasn't enough dressing to moisten it up. Nevertheless I was starving so I ate it. It wasn't bad per se, but I've had better.
The other thing that annoyed me was the fact that they don't have menus, just a board on the wall that was too far away for me to see (yup, eyeballs still broken). Gah.
It was still a fun lunch, but I don't think I'll go back there anytime soon. With Mo's, Shin's, Guiseppi's, Buona Tavola, and Novo nearby, I don't think I'll have to.
